Happy heart day to you and Justin! Thanks for the comment on our blog. I used to be very scared to let Wren cry but then as the time since his last procedure lengthened and grew stronger I became more resigned to it.
Plus, he is a terrible sleeper - waking a few times during the night on a good night - so some crying has been unavoidable even if we go in and sign, carry or pat him.
I think its completely natural to want to avoid Justin crying right now and you should follow your gut. When Wren cries I still think of his sats dropping and his BP rising, his heartrate going up beyond 180 etc etc. This is what happened on the monitors so I know!
